Marpak accident victim talks about accident

The death toll in the bus accident that took place near Patatar of Marpak VDC this afternoon has reached 19. Thirteen men including two children and six women were killed when the passenger bus (Ba.3Kha.3318) heading towards Kintangfedi from Dhadingbesi overturned as it tried to pass through landslide debris and fell onto the river bank some 200 meter below the road.
Fourteen of the injured are undergoing treatment at the TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu, police said.

The deceased identified so far include Mendijun Tamang, Thirmaya Tamang, Ranga Singh Tamang, Lila Bahadur Gurung, Rauta Tamang, three-year-old Rawat Tamang of Satyadevi VDC, Kamala Poudel, Dil Kumar Adhikari, Padma Bahadur Thapa of Marpak VDC, Rudra Bahadur Ghale of Gumdi VDC, Ram Chandra Sapkota of Darkha VDC, Larup Tamang of Sertung VDC, Man Bahadur Tamang, Chandra Man Tamang of Ri VDC, the bus driver Gangabir BK of Gorkha and Khiya Lama, whose address is not known.
One of the passengers who died on the spot and the second who died during treatment in Kathmandu are yet to be identified, the District Police Office Dhading said.
The total number of injured is yet to be known, neither the exact number of passengers travelling in the bus. Some of the seriously injured were airlifted to Kathmandy by a Nepali Army helicopter.
